Grom Club is a once a month event at Xtreme Wheels indoor skate park in Buffalo NY. B.Lo Skateboards proudly sponsored this last one and provided a learning environment for young kids that are new to the sport. The groms were treated to an all access morning in the park with B.Lo skater Denny Kremblas. Denny taught the 50 plus groms pretty much anything they wanted to learn, both one on one, and in a group setting. The park was filled with smiles and laughter as many of the future shredders learned how to conquer fear and drop in on the vert sections of the park! There were also instructions on basic flat tricks such as ollies, kickflips, shove-its and manuals. It is priceless to see someone land their first ollie at 6 or 7 years old. The crew had a ton of fun and were brought together by Virginia, the park’s wonderful owner, for Prize Time! Everyone grabbed a number and was picked for a super prize provided by the park! Denny also awarded a brand new B.Lo deck to the skater he felt was most improved and tried the hardest for the day. That little grom’s name was Todd!!! Look out for the next Grom Club in November which will be hosted by B.Lo again!! Thanks to Virginia and X Wheels for hosting the program, which is free for skaters 12 and under!!! Thanks to Denny for teaching and putting on a great show for the kids!!! And a big thanks to Brandon Fischer for providing the photography!!!

It’s going to be held Friday October 30th from 6pm until 10pm at Xtreme Wheels indoor skate park (356 Hertel Avenue, Buffalo, NY) We have great prizes this year from all of our sponsors: Transworld Skateboarding Magazine, Concrete Wave Magazine, Victory Records, Kissing Bridge Ski Resort, Xtreme Wheels, Krudco, Paul Cwiklinski Motor Club, Red Bull, and much more!!! There will be multiple comps going on at any one time, bands playing, door prizes for the first 100 people, prizes for best costume and painted face…and much more! The B.Lo Crew will be at Cazenovia Park in Buffalo this Thursday around 6:30pm to hang out, skate, maybe cook up some hot dogs…give away some free stuff. Come hang out with your B.Family and have a good time!!! We should be somewhere between the Casino and the basketball courts!

B.Lo has officially been invited to the Transworld Skate Awards in Hollywood June 12th. We will be representing all of the b.family at the ceremony and partying it up on the “red carpet of skate”! We wanted to share this exciting news with b.family all over the world and thank everyone for your continued support… you guys are the ones that make this all possible!
B.Lo would like to congratulate new b.family team rider Josh Martinez! Josh joined the b.family about a month ago and is now skating for B.Lo all over the West Coast. On top of his excellent skating, Josh also rips it up in the world of film. He’s currently working on a few skate films with B.Lo and has recently scored a gig documenting the life of a professional mixed martial arts fighter with his company Day Dream Cinema! Besides his mad skillz, Josh is a really great guy and we’re more than happy to have him along for the ride! B.Lo Boards will be unleashing it’s B.Long selection for 2009!!! We will be offering decks and complete packages to get you sidewalk surfing as soon as the snow melts! We will be looking to do longboard cruise nights and secret events everywhere, so make sure you keep checking in and get your butt on a B.Long board! It’s going to be tight!!!

So the day has come and gone, all involved did a fantastic job. I would like to first thank everyone who helped out during the contest. Jen and Anu for working the tables for B.lo and Energy, they did an outstanding job. Kim from Energy Skateshop (1203 Hertel Ave. Buffalo, NY)
was awesome as always, and her crew was great. I would like to personally thank Alex Johnson for being our emcee for the contest and truly bringing the ENERGY.
We had alot of great skaters at the comp, our bros from Rochester, and Canada coming to represent. Let us not forget our local skaters from Buffalo, and the surrounding areas keeping it tight. I would also like to thank Kim for bringing her crew from Down South, to support her and bring the pain to the comp.
